LEAFY GREENS WASHING AND DEWATERING LINES

VegTech Systems’ Leafy Greens Washing and Dewatering Line processes 500 kg to 2 tons of fresh leafy greens (spinach, lettuce, kale) per hour, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and quality for fresh market or further processing. Constructed with food-grade stainless steel, this scalable system features gentle washing and efficient dewatering, minimizing damage to delicate leaves while removing dirt, bacteria, and excess water, with a focus on energy and water efficiency.
The process begins with receiving leafy greens, followed by pre-washing to remove heavy debris, main washing with agitation to clean thoroughly, rinsing for final sanitation, and dewatering to reduce moisture for packaging or freezing. Optimized for delicate handling, the line maintains leaf integrity across the 500 kg/h to 2 tons/h capacity range, preparing greens for immediate use or downstream processes.
Equipment includes: Receiving Hopper (500 kg/h-2 tons/h, 1-3 kW, 2-10 m³); Pre-Washer (1-4 m³/h water, 2-5 kW); Main Washer (2-8 m³/h water at 4 bar, 3-10 kW, air agitation 20-50 L/min at 6 bar); Rinser (1-5 m³/h water, 2-6 kW); Dewaterer (5-15 kW, 30-100 L/min air at 6-8 bar, centrifugal or air-based).
